SHIHAN Dennis Morales

Sensei Dennis Morales

Shihan Dennis Morales has dedicated over 20 years to martial arts, with Kyokushin karate as his enduring passion. He trained under the late Hanshi Gregory Johnson, who was a significant influence on his martial arts journey. Shihan Dennis holds the rank of Yondan (4th Degree Black Belt) in Kyokushin Karate and a 1st Degree Black Belt in Taekwondo, reflecting his extensive martial arts background.

As the lead instructor and one of the founders of the National Kyokushin Academy of Martial Arts, Shihan Dennis takes pride in training both children and adults at the Southwest Academy of KyokushinKai Karate. He is deeply committed to honoring Hanshi Johnson’s legacy, keeping his teachings and spirit alive in the dojo. Shihan Dennis also continues his own training under a Kyokushin Master to further develop his technique and elevate his students’ abilities.

In the dojo, the words of Hanshi Johnson still resonate: “Renshū, Renshū, Renshū” (Practice, Practice, Practice) and “Train more than you sleep,” a famous quote from Sosai Mas Oyama. These principles, embodied by Shihan Dennis, serve as a guiding force for his students, inspiring dedication, discipline, and growth in martial arts.
